Folks from the Visayas region of the Philippines are no stranger to a simple fish stew of fish (of course...) and aromatics. Its a dump and leave kind of cooking even the very beginner cook can do. I add some citrus in mine for the needed zing a Kapampangan might look for ( plus to remove the fishy smell). Remember me mentioning the love affair of my clan to food? Well, its that love affair that gave way for my cousin to share this deviated recipe for this cold days comfort food. Plus, no fishy smell!
